Each Pinecone Grove purchase supports a wildlife fund with the goal to conserve Earth’s wildlife and habitats. This includes charities that conserve plants, animals, and their habitats, find solutions & prevent global warming, spread awareness of what Nature requires. For every 10 Pinecone Grove orders, I will donate $25 to a nature fund. The next ten sales will go toward a Coral Reef Alliance donation.

The Coral Reef Alliance (CORAL) works with people around the world to protect our most valuable and threatened ecosystem. Coral reefs are incredibly beautiful and important for the environment. Their intricate fissures and constantly growing structures offer a valuable habitat for many species of fish, marine worms, crustaceans, clams, other animals and plants, all of which play a unique and vital role in the coral reef ecosystem. Want to make a donation straight to the Coral Reef Alliance? That’s Awesome! You can do that here.

“Coral reefs are an important food source for the people who live near reefs, and, as nurseries, are vital to the world’s fisheries. Many of the compounds now being used in human medicines, including some that treat cancer, are found on coral reefs, with probably many more yet to be discovered. Coral reefs help humans in many other ways too: generating tourist dollars for communities, and—especially important in our changing climate—acting as natural barriers against storm events like hurricanes, typhoons, and even tsunamis. The annual value of the ecosystem services provided by coral reefs to millions of people is estimated to be over $375 billion.”

To protect this remarkable ecosystem, CORAL leads comprehensive conservation programs that improve coral reef health and resilience that are replicated across the globe. You can learn more about this charity on the Coral Reef Alliance website.

“CORAL works around the world to save coral reefs by partnering with local communities to find solutions to threats to their reef. We support communities by building a constituency of coral reef advocates, and by helping develop and support local management systems for coral reefs that support the community over the long term. Our active projects sites are in Fiji, Honduras, Hawai’i, Indonesia, and Mexico, with a research project in Palmyra.”
